Why should we protect religion?
i from China. and I know every bad things done by communist party. And I support the suggetion of protectting human rights in China.
But I don't think people should believe in any god as such GOD just don't exist. Especially so the called living GOD, like dalai lama, Japanese emperor, Falun-gong's li, and any man alike to them.
Why should we protect such a false thing? I think the religions just brainwash people to make them the slaves of the leaders.

Well, you are operating under the impression that you have the answer. Others think otherwise. You wish to impose your ideas about religion on others. We believe that is wrong, since religious questions are impossible to prove or disprove, by their very nature.
Since I wish to believe what I believe without persecution (being punished for my beliefs), it is only fair that I allow others the same option.
Clearly, some religions brainwash their followers for their own benefit. One can wonder if in fact you yourself have not been the "beneficiary" of such brainwashing.
My brainwashing tells me it is best to allow people to choose for themsleves, to believe that they are as capable as myself of deciding for themselves on these matters. I always get very suspicious of people that try to sell me something as the perfect solution or the only solution to pretty much anything.

There is no "scientific answer" to your question. People of religion have faith in God, which means they believe in Him, despite the fact that there is no proof.
This is not as absurd as it may seem. For instance, you probably love your mother, even though logically speaking, she's just another woman, more or less like the others. Yet you love HER. That's how faith works.
As a practical matter, believe me that you would not want to live in a world of atheists. You may be an ethical person with self-imposed morality, but to many people, religion is the stripe in the middle of the road that determines which side we drive on. Without it, chaos would ensue.

Religion whatever type of religion. Is sacred to the worshiper.Taking away or not protecting the rights of worshipers goes against everything America has fought for. To many have died protecting that right. They were not brainwashed. But loved God and/or country.

Well, those are your believes. The pilgrims immigrated to the US looking for freedom of religion, and that's how our nation began forming. You might think that its st*pid to have such believes but that's only your opinion, not others. Countries protect religion rights just like they protect your rights of not believing in any religion. Is call freedom and liberty to follow whatever you believe in, and to make sure that everyone will receive equal treatment, and to avoid any boycotts from people, organization, or government itself that could conclude in death, the governments fcreates laws to protect people.

Basically, it's not the government's business what I believe, one way or the other. Protecting the rights of others to believe as they so choose (as long as it doesn't hinder your same freedom) is important to PREVENTING forced brainwashing by the government, promoting free thought.
The good news is that as long as there is free thought, time is on our side. As science's range increases, the need for a God to explain things is diminished.
For now, I speak up when religious doctrine is forced upon me, know how to respond to common religious arguments, and try to live as a good example that 'nonreligious' doesn't mean 'amoral.'
